HIKES AROUND THE CITY

Since THE TALKING RAMBLER believes in learners growing, developing and bonding outside of the classroom, these places of varied interest offer numerous opportunities to develop communication, as well as understand the urban sprawl of Athens.

A lake surrounded by trees

BELETSI LAKE

A small artificial lake and though a man-made accident, this lake is just a wonder of nature. Have a family day and practise English with your friends, feed the fish and maybe enjoy a picnic by the lake. IDEAL FOR FAMILIES, FRIENDS & SAVVY TOURISTS

Roman Relic in the forest of Kaisariani

KAISARIANI

The Forest of Kaisariani is just the proper place to get away from it all. Close to the center of the city but far away at the same time. There are plenty of paths and forest roads crisscrossing the slopes of the mountain connecting monasteries and churches with panoramic viewpoints and shady hideouts. We start with a small visit to the Monastery and then off we go. Easy trails only/suitable for all ages.
Allow HALF DAY

A unique New Gothic Chapel of the Eastern Orthodox Church

SYNGROS ESTATE

A mansion, a Neo-Gothic Chapel (probably the only Eastern Orthodox church of this style), schools as well as more than 700 hectares of Aleppo pines and 200 hectares reserved for agriculture.
IDEAL FOR BEGINNERS

An alley of trees in Tatoi

TATOI PALACE

Another area full of history, also known as Dekeleia, the Summer Palace of the House of Glücksburg that reigned in Greece from 1863 to 1924 and again from 1935 to 1973. Explore the lush pathways and smell the variety of fragrances.
